Memoriandum
24x36mm black and white negative film

Conceived in early Nineties, Memoriandum (I kept the easy pun of the original title) is a project I feel more and more urgent, especially now that memories increased getting deeper and more painful. It’s a series of black and white photographs taken during the projection of different family’s Super-8 films (filmed between 1981 and 1983) and some Super-8 cartoons films bought in the same years. In the original project prints had different colours, given by sepia or selenium toner baths, tea baths.
Today everything takes a sorrowful mood, photographs drive you in a land of ghosts, a Golden Age, as often the past looks like, revealing its symbols.
